Before I start I'd like to say I don't think of my blog as successful these tips and steps are a collaboration of things I've learned and what people have shared.
Step 1- Figure Out What You Want To Do
This is something you must think about before you make your blog. What will it be about? What will you do on your blog? If you are doing very detailed DIYs then you should be doing a YouTube channel. If you would like to have many topics or a few topics you can make different pages as you see on my blog the little titles above are the names of my pages. If you feel like you have too many pages then narrow it down to the ones you are best at.
Step 2- Research
When you have decided what you want to do on your blog you have to think about what people will like most about your blog, what can you do that others can't and what could you improve. Scan others blogs and read what people like about them. What could you improve on your blog to make it better?
Step 3- Setting Up
First step for setting up your blog is finding a host. A host is a website who helps you set up your domain and design. I personally prefer Weebly because they allow you to do so much and I'm not even on the premium which would mean I'd have to pay. When you log on to Weebly it will show you a small picture of your blog with the word edit above it. Click on edit and you will be able to design your blog, add pages, posts and pictures. If you don't want to have to go on the website all the time to write a post then you can download the Weebly app.
Step 4- Writing Posts
When you are writing your posts try to stay on topic and add personality in it. This is what makes people want to read your blog. Before you publish your post, do proofread because the Weebly app doesn't have auto correct on it. Often a glitch will happen when you publish your post, it can put text out of order and delete your writing so I suggest reading through it once published.
Step 5- Photos
If you are posting a picture on your blog make sure it crops out any personal things you wouldn't want online. To make your photos better quality download a photo editing app, I use VSCO Cam. Adding captions to funny photos adds effect to your readers view and will make it much more humorous.
That is all I have to share and hope it will help you to make your blog successful. If you can I'd love for you to share you website address down below so I can view your blog.
